Artistic Way of Storing Your DVDs in Your DVD Rack

If you want to properly store your CDs and DVDs, there is no better way than to have a DVD rack in your home. There are a lot of racks available: the metal DVD rack, the wooden DVD rack and the plastic DVD rack. It is very helpful and allows you to not only manage your DVDs and prevent them from damage, but to save space as well.
However, many people think that a DVD rack has a monotonous design that would make a living room or home theater room look drab. This is not true. You can actually use your rack to have a fabulous living design or you can use it to accent your living room's style. Here are some ways to do so.
• The Tic-Tac-Toe rack. Imagine the game you were playing as a child were there are two vertical and two horizontal lines evenly spaced on top of each other. It forms nine boxes where you need to place either an "X" or an "O". This design would have 6 box spaces to place your DVD cases. (You cannot place any DVD case on the 3 boxes at the bottom because there is no carrying layer on it). You can increase the number of layers as you want.
• The Crisscross rack. This is similar to the Tic-Tac-Toe design, although it is rotated 45 degrees to the side, providing diagonal layers.
• The rack. This is actually a popular rack variation. It looks like a tall building with slots for DVDs and DVD cases instead of windows. Some tower racks have layers instead of floors. This kind of rack is elegant in the living room. Some even have lighting of their own to make them actually look like miniature versions of buildings.
• The rack. Elegant and astounding - these are the usual descriptions for glass racks. Just make sure that you place your rack in not-so-dangerous locations. If you like this design, you should look for one that is made of fiber glass so it is stronger.
• Cello rack. It looks like a cello on the outside, but it is actually a rack. This is hinged on one side so you can open it like a cabinet. It has several layers that you can use to place a maximum of 265 discs.
• Caterpillar rack. Where other racks are typically vertical, this rack is horizontal. You can place the DVD cases in the body of the caterpillar. It comes in various colors - orange, blue, green, red or clear white.
These are just some creative DVD racks available in the market today. There are also a lot of artists creating DVD racks with artistic expression. If you want personalized DVD racks, requesting for one from an artist may be a bit expensive. You can still manage to create your own DVD rack if you have the time and patience.
